5/8/2010 Edit: I have officially named this toy KangaView, and I have applied to have the use of the toy patented! Please continue to love them, make them, use them, but please also credit me. Thanks!
Yes, I’ve commercialized — but guess who benefits? You! Your children! Your friends and their children! Anybody who loves a cool, crafty, homemade plaything that keeps both young and old occupied for hours.
Crafting the I Spy bags KangaView pouches here in my own happy home in my own happy time, you can be sure that your I-Spy bag KangaView pouch will be created with loving care and great attention to detail. I pick my fabric just for these projects, and it’s always fun and pretty! Inside are 30- 50 toys and small objects that are happily ensconsed within hundreds of little poly-pellets. To each I-Spy bag KangaView pouch is attached a card identifying every single object, both in name and via a small picture, for those who haven’t yet grasped the whole reading thing yet. (Yeah, the ones in the stores don’t do that.) Can you find the purple horse? Can you spot the nickel? What about the plastic jelly-bean? Can you find every red object in under 12 seconds? Time yourself– that’s what they do in the Olympics!
I am happy to fill custom orders, filled with all the special objects you or your gift-recipient enjoys. Like trains? I’ll stuff that thing with trains. I can also make small laminated pictures of your loved ones, your favorite ferret or whatever, as well as shrinky-dink images of favorite characters (Dora, Thomas, Uniqua, Arthur). I’ll even plop all the letters of the intended recipient’s name inside the I-Spy bag KangaView pouch — ’cause I’m like that.
Here are the prices: Straight Up, Super Cool I-Spy Bag Kanga View pouch = $20.00 — Customized, Rock-Your-World I-Spy Bag = $22.00 and up!
Want one? Sure you do! Shoot me an email with specific requests at slipsofthetongue (at) gmail (dot) com Or, just want to give me money for one, no questions asked? Cool. Do that.
